Little Book of Lettering by Emily Gregory

The Little Book of Lettering by Emily Gregory was my first lettering book. I used it to start getting inspiration for lettering from professional lettering artists and illustrators.

Grafica de les Rambles by Louise Fili is a beautiful book showing the history and the signs of Barcelona. It is a great book to use for real world reference for lettering of different styles.

 

Hand Lettering Ledger by Mary Kate McDevitt

Hand Lettering Ledger by Mary Kate McDevitt is a great book for beginners who want to learn lettering. It doesn’t only serve as a great book for reference but also for using as a workbook with plenty of activity pages and practice pages in the back of the book.

 

An Introduction to Expressive Lettering by Kyle Lentendre

An Introduction to Expressive Lettering by Kyle Letendre is an excellent workbook and resource for all levels of lettering artist. This is also great if you want to push your style of lettering and expand your skills.
